National Rifle Association Imperial Meeting
Participation by Nottinghamshire Shooters 2012-2024
The National Rifle Association of the United Kingdom holds its annual international open meeting during June and July each year and includes competitions for service personnel, schools, county teams and individuals. The civilian events are divided into match rifle (MR) and target rifle (TR) and Nottinghamshire shooters take part in both these disciplines. The prestigious finale of the TR competitions is The Sovereign's Prize which was instigated by Queen Victoria in 1860. It is usually referred to as the Queen's or King's Prize accordingly.
Full details of the meeting and results listings for all the competitions are available on the National Rifle Association website. There are also pages devoted to the results of prior years' competitions.
The NRA also publishes daily news reports on the progress of the Imperial on its Facebook page.
