Bisley Imperial Meeting News 2016
Nottinghamshire County & Other Teams
The County TR teams for the County Short and County Long matches included two new members this year. The eight shooting for the County Short made 7th place, 3 higher than last year's 10th place. The County Long team of 6 shooters did not fare so well, dropping down to 21st place. In the combined Victor Ludorum, Nottinghamshire was placed 14th, one place down from 2015.
The combination of Miss L E Kennedy and Mr J T Kennedy, both of Nottingham City RC, in the Families match and in the Fulton Pairs competition proved a winning ticket. In the Families they were second collecting silver medals, and in the Fulton Pairs picked up two more silver medals having won the Class "O" competition.
We reported on the Astor page of this website on the result of the Nottinghamshire heat of the Astor County Championship won by Langar RC. The club team took part in the final at the start of the TR competitions and made a total score of 599.62v, coming 19th. The winners were City of Newcastle RC with 623.74v.

Individual competitions
Match Rifle
Once again this year, there was a strong presence from the Old Nottinghamians RC and several other Nottinghamshire shooters in the MR competitions. The highest placed Nottinghamshire shooter in the Hopton Aggregate was Mr SJ Whitby at 31st, very closely followed by Mr WRD Mott at 32nd. The position of top Nottinghamshire shot in the seven competitions making up the Hopton Aggregate was fairly evenly shared out between five of the Notts. shooters.
