The 2024 Mercia Match

This year the match was held on 9th June at the Staveley Rifle Club range at Chesterfield and Nottinghamshire acted as host county and ran the day's shooting.

County teams that took part came from Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. Unfortunately Leicestershire & Rutland and Northamptonshire were unable to take part. Derbyshire came with a full County team of fifteen; but only one Lady and two Juniors. Lincolnshire were represented by 3 Ladies and Nottinghamshire entered a County Team of ten, a Ladies Team of five and three Juniors.

It was agreed that the best ten scores from each County Team would be counted in, and likewise three in the Ladies match and two in the Juniors.

Derbyshire retained the Mercia Match trophy extending their winning run from 2016. Nottinghamshire took the Ladies and Junior competitions.
