Civilian Rifle Shooting clubs
in Nottinghamshire in 1909

This list of civilian clubs in Nottinghamshire was compiled from newspaper reports appearing during the year.

These cover both clubs using military rifles as well as those using the miniature rifle. The latter were generally affiliated to the Nottinghamshire Civilian and Miniature Rifle Association and at the national level to the Society of Miniature Rifle Clubs.

Some of the clubs catered for both indoor or outdoor short range shooting (25 yards to 50 yards) and long range shooting (200 yards to 1000 yards) which used military rifles and shot at Trent range, which was the home range of the Robin Hood Rifles.
