Civilian Full Bore Shooting 1906

Major Ashworth has just presented the Notts. Civilian Rifle Club with a trophy, to be known as the Ashworth (Scratch) Challenge Cup.
A member winning the cup three times becomes the owner. The best aggregate out of four shoots will qualify.

ASHWORTH CUP COMPETITION.
This competition was commenced yesterday, on the Trent range. The member obtaining the best aggregate of four shoots out of six becoming the holder of the cup. The conditions are:– To be shot from scratch; one sighter and seven shots at 200, 500, and 600 yards range, under new Bisley conditions The following cards were returned :–

The fourth monthly shoot for the Lowdham Rifle Club's challenge cup took place on Saturday. Total possible points 105. Scores :–
J. D. Pearson 96, J. Simpson 95, J. C. Belton 93, S. Cammack 90.
The leading positions to date (totals of three best scores) are J. D. Pearson 297. G. H. Ulyett 283, J. C. Belton 280, J. Simpson 279.
