The Gresham Shield Match 2012
The Gresham Shield match for 2012 was held on Saturday 28th July at the Beckingham ranges.
Five teams of four shooters from three clubs took part in testing conditions effected by mirage and cross winds. Scores were consequently lower than in previous years.
The course of fire was three sighters and ten to count at 200m and 300m using standard NRA round bull targets. Competitors firearms had to be general service issue military rifles of pre-1946 vintage of contemporary calibre and with original sights. The use of slings was permitted.
