The 1931 Bradwell and Parker Cup Competitions

Following the presentation of the Bradwell Cup and others to the Nottinghamshire Rifle Association in 1930, the Bradwell was shot for in 1931 and a report appeared in the Nottingham Evening Post. The Cup was closely fought with the top four scores only two points apart with the top three places going to members of the Nottingham and Notts. United Services Rifle Club.

This Club also held its own match for the Charles Parker Cup. This too had a close finish.

NOTTS. RIFLE SHOOTING TROPHIES.

The revived Notts. Rifle Association is proving a real live organisation, and with the return to popularity of rifle shooting, interest in the various cup competitions of the organisation grows apace.

Another competition, the Bradwell Cup, has just been decided. and in view of the fact that the conditions were the King's Prize first stage, and that among the competitors were C. Parker (hon. secretary of the. N.R.A.), and G. B. Godson, who are to once again take part in the forthcoming Bisley gathering, made it particularly attractive. Seven shots counted at 200 yards, 500 yards and 600 yards, the possible at each range being 35 and the aggregate 105.

The winner proved to be G. B. Godson with 98, but only one point separated him from two other members of the Nottingham and Notts United Services Club team, C. Parker and W. S. Lewitt. Details:
